TREKKING IN NEPAL

Nepal has attracted trekkers around the world since the 1960s when Colonel Jimmy Robert organized the primary commercial trek. Trekking is the leading tourist activity in Nepal and thousands of people hiking the Himalayas, some days, while others face a month-long trek through the valleys and high mountain passes. Two of the most popular trekking areas are Everest and Annapurna where many different trails are often followed, while the opposite popular treks are within the Langtang and Kanchenjunga regions. The biggest challenge is that of the Great Himalayan Trails, in a deep footpath system that covers Nepal from attack and Darchula in the west to Kanchenjunga in the east. The range of trekking trails in Nepal cannot be found in another part of the planet. In fact, the rock bottom point in Nepal is 59 meters above sea level within the Terai region, while the best point is Everest, 8,848 meters above sea level, with 2 points going only 200 kilometers away as the crow flies.

Most tourists to Nepal are available through the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. It is in Kathmandu that trekkers got their permits and other documents to obtain, either from a trekking agent or from the acceptable offices. Trekking of these documents is being done along the route. With very little time on its hands, breathtaking views of the Himalayas can be seen during a half-day hiking from Kathmandu.

Trekking in Nepal today is completely different from the 1960s. Overall, most trekking areas, national parks and conservation areas are recorded, where trekkers can find accommodation, food, and meet other trekkers and locals along the way. Most of the paths have been well maintained and in many cases have been sign-posted.

The lodges are well appointed and have battery charging facilities and hence large villages often have email facilities. Trek length, problem, and time vary greatly and to facilitate once outside most trekking areas, transportation becomes more problematic and sometimes domestic scheduled flights involve a minimum of two trips. Many treks in Nepal start with a flight to the start line and many occur in remote areas where there is no road. Several days of trekking are necessary from local centers of population and administration to the upper mountainous regions to succeed.

Six distinct and diverse vegetation starting from the tropics in Nepal subtropical 100 m - 200 m, lower temperate 1,700 m - 2,700 m, upper temperate 2,400 m - 3,000 m, sub-alpine 3,000 m - 4,000 m and alpine 4,000 to 1000 m below. Areas. Me Snowline, this jungle-like forest above the snowline. The upper elevation is home to the elusive ounce, Himalayan Thar, Moschus mociferus and other rare species.

Although Annapurna's favorite trek lodges at Kanchenjunga, Everest, Manasalu are set to provide accommodation, low-frequency treks in those areas and other areas to the west of Annapurna also generally have camping style trek support camping.

Trekkers can find a trail at any time of the year. The southern regions of Nepal receive high levels of rainfall. However, some route areas with good Himalayan trails, Mustang north of Annapurna and Manasalu, Dolpo north of Dhaulagiri and hence a dry region in the far west of Nepal. The weather clears after the Saypal Himal Monsoon. Winters are sweet, but cool on short days and spring often suffers from seasonal rain and icy storms. Summer is brief and follows the early monsoon. Monsoon treks usually occur within the dry Manang and Mustang areas.

However, the rains do not occur 24 hours every day and they bring spectacular flowers to life. It is also the right time to think of one of the areas within the area that usually features a more barren Tibetan type of scenery against the greenness on the other side.

It is important for tourists to understand that the most income-generating activity of people from the Capitol Hill areas is tourism, and that they usually earn wages by working as trekking porters or guides. Hiring a porter does not mean that you are simply weak, it means that you value Nepali culture, you are providing an income to an extended Nepali family and in an equal time you become a lover. Have been and are trekking along an area well versed with local cultures, festivals, and every one of the opposite issues, which will turn an honest trek into an impressive life time experience.

It is possible to trek alone or without a Nepali guide, but you may not know what to do during a major storm, zero visibility and possibly submerging temperatures of 5,000 meters? Confirm that you have got all the permits you need, and are environmentally and culturally aware.
