The construction of the Federal Parliament building has gone ahead
Kathmandu, Magh 15: Work has begun to complete the construction of the Federal Parliament building, which was started in the Putali Garden at Singha Durbar.
The physical progress of the four months that began has seemed to be timely while satisfying and managing the necessary building materials. So far the construction has begun to finish in three years, so far the physical progress is almost five percent and the financial progress is 22 decimal 35 percent. According to the Department of Urban Development and Building Development, the target has been reached with five percent target taken in six months, with two months remaining.
The target is to complete 5 percent of the work in the current fiscal year. One hundred 73 rupees, which was spread over an eight-hectare building, was accepted at a cost of Rs.5 billion three crore, excluding VAT. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli laid the foundation stone of the building last October. The prime minister's development coordination expert Gajendra Thapaliya said that the construction of the parliament building was the first decision of Prime Minister Oli since he was watching the construction with special importance and facilitating it in the required places.

Its design also emphasizes open space. Senior divisional engineer Tuladhar said the area was divided into four zones: building area, open green area, parking area and road infrastructure. Three percent area of the premises will include open greenery, gardens, water fountains and various infrastructures will be constructed in the remaining places. He said that green square, water fountain and public open square will be constructed around every building. Likewise, Emergency has also taken into account the design situation.
It is said that the newly constructed parliament building can be accessed only by the examination of advanced security technology. Special attention has been given to the security agencies in the master plan of this complex. The main gate of the premises will be on the south side and the new gate will be on the north side for the entrance of Parliament, said Tuladhar. He said the gate was designed to be a gateway for staff and public entry in the South East.
The parliamentary party building and office building will be five-storeyed, according to the department. Besides, all the buildings on the premises will be up to three storeys high, said Tuladhar. He said that underground or subterranean chambers could be constructed as per the requirement. He said the buildings would be constructed keeping in view the special conditions including earthquake and fire.
On the left of the main entrance, there is a large hall to sit for the House of Representatives and a meeting of the National Assembly to the right is to be made. According to senior divisional engineer Tamrakar, there will be 400 halls in the House of Representatives, along with 400 halls of various technical rooms, chairperson's office, press conference room, special hall, committee hall. The building will house 300 journalists, visitors and visitors on the balcony and 200 on the other.
In the National Assembly building, there will be about 100 large halls, various technical rooms, chambers of assembly. It is also said that the building will have 200 balconies and another 300 hall. On the north side of the National Assembly building, the office of the most extraordinary person has been designed for the building. He said that there would be a working room with the Prime Minister including the Prime Minister, the Vice-Chairperson of the National Assembly.
On the north side of the House of Representatives, a four-storey library building will be constructed, including a book study room, e-library, museum, administrative room, he said. It is said that there will be a parliamentary committee office northeast of the main parliament building and a small printing press to its right. There will be a five-storey party office building on the north side of the main building. He informed that there will be separate rooms for meeting rooms, infant care rooms and so on.
